Enrichment-led Wellington dog walking

Every outing is set up to build confidence, sharpen their read on the world around them, and keep things fun and social – adding up to an adventure walk that your dog will love and look forward to.

A better way to walk

Wellington dogs deserve a proper adventure - the kind where they come home tired, happy, validated and ready for a good lie-down. Art of the Pack brings training and exploring together out on the trails. Whether it's bush tracks, long grass, or a stretch of beach, your dog gets to thrive out in the real world, while learning how to do it well. We work on all the good stuff: walking without dragging you along, staying cool around other dogs and life's distractions, managing impulses, building confidence, and getting that off-leash recall sorted. Some structure gives them the tools to handle whatever comes their way. When it's time to roam, they get to run through the forest, explore all the good smells, play on the beach with their mates and make the most of wherever the track takes us.

Running with the pack

When your dog's with me, they're not just another dog for the day - they become part of our tight-knit pack, and make meaningful friendships along the way. I take the time to get to know who they really are, what makes them tick, their quirks, what they enjoy (and what they find tough!) so I can help them be their best. They get the same love and care I'd give my own two, and I match them up with the right mates so they feel safe and settled. It's all about building a real bond and friendships - so every dog feels understood, looked after, and knows how to be a solid member of the pack.

"Jake has been brilliant with our dogs. They love the social aspect of the pack walks and always come back happy and tuckered out. The adventure days are the best! It's great knowing exactly what's happening on the day and communication is excellent."

Rob Davies - Aro Valley

How the walks are run

I keep the pack sizes small on purpose - it means I can stay switched on, pick up on what's going on early, and make sure every dog's safe, engaged, and actually getting something out of the walk. Groups are put together based on temperament and energy, building toward a calm, friendly vibe that grows into confidence and off-leash fun over time. The goal's simple: dogs come home tired, mentally chuffed, happy, and a bit more settled in themselves.

"Jake has made an amazing impact on Minnie and our life. Minnie is now much more settled and always happy when she gets home!"

Martha Williams - Mornington

Consistent leadership

One thing that never changes is who's with your dog. It's me on every walk - building the relationship, getting to know them properly over time. Your dog's always with a familiar face they trust, and that consistency makes a real difference. They settle in quicker, trust builds the way it should, and the whole thing becomes a calm, predictable highlight of their day.
