A better way to walk dogs
Kia ora, I’m Jake - a local dog walker based in Wellington. I run small adventure pack walks built around movement, engagement and calm guidance. From Brooklyn and the surrounding areas, I spend a lot of time exploring the hills, tracks, and coastal spots where dogs can properly stretch out and enjoy themselves.
Whether it’s a steady walk through the bush or a more open run, the focus is always the same – keeping things relaxed, safe, and enjoyable for every dog in the group. I genuinely care for each dog as if they were my own, and invest myself into making sure your pooch is fulfilled and thriving in the pack.
How the walks are run
I keep pack sizes deliberately small so I can stay present, read behaviour early, and make sure each dog is safe, engaged, and getting something out of the walk. Groups are formed around temperament and energy level, with the aim of creating a calm, friendly social dynamic that builds into confidence and off-leash fun over time. The goal is simple: dogs that come home exercised, mentally fulfilled, happy and more settled in themselves.

Out in the real world
My dog walker Wellington sessions take place across a mix of local terrain - hills, bush tracks, coastal paths, and open spaces. There’s room for movement, play, sniffing, and the kind of natural interaction that helps dogs build confidence. By the end of each session, you’ve got a dog that’s had a proper outing - and plenty of fun along the way. As a regular client, you’ll also receive photos of your pooch out doing their thing. I’m a keen photographer, and I love documenting precious moments of your dog out in the world.

Leading the pack
One thing I keep consistent is who your dog is with. I’m the one doing the walks, building the relationship, and getting to know your dog over time – your dog will never be handed over to an unfamiliar, contract walker. That familiarity makes a big difference. Dogs settle quicker, trust builds properly, and the whole experience becomes calmer and more predictable.
Service area
I provide a dedicated mid-morning pack walk for dogs based in the Southern and Western hills of Wellington. By focusing on our home turf, I ensure that the pack spends minimal time in transit and maximum time out on the trails. I currently provide pick-up and drop-off services in:
